Members of the Association
All members of the Hilton Head Island Fire & Rescue Department are considered members of the Association. Association business is directed by an elected Board of Trustees.
Members of the Board of Trustees are elected by a majority of the vote of all the members of the organization. Once elected, each board member serves a 3 year term. HHFA Officers are elected by a majority vote of the Board of Trustees.
According to the Associations’ By-Laws there are to be no less than 6 meetings a year. All members of the organization are encouraged to attend the scheduled meetings. The members are encouraged to attend so that the board members make decisions that are in the best interest of all members.
The HHFA desires to give back to our community that we serve but also, with the inclusion of the Betsy Thayer Benevolent Fund, we are able to help out our own in times of need.
